My second painting project started out by a request, to draw a photo, this one:
The image portrayed in this photo may seem strange for many people.
The photo actually describes the uprising (intifada) among the youth against the Israeli occupation where it captures a young boy who is holding stones and ready to face the Israeli army tank.
This photo could have been a re-enactment of a brave young boy, whose name is Faris Odeh, whose photo was captured by a photo-journalist, while holding a stone facing a monstrous army tank.
The boy was martyred soon after.
Work in progress... The flames look flat and not convincing
After some more retouching, this is the final result...
